held hands

hands held
and bathed in moonlight
stars sprinkled
across velvet skies
of blackness
so dark their depths exceed themselves
and prove never ending
to naked eyes they seem
a blanket around the horizon
put over us to darken the hours of sleep
but this is one true beauty
these hands held
with woven fingers
held tight like they will never part
and soft silver strands of light
from the moon creates soft shadows
that cover the hands
making them glow white
eyes shimmer that same glow
into the eyes of another
and back again
never ending
those dark glass
depths which seem forever intranced
with the other
and from those depths
shining from within is
love
